Terms of Service

LockdownLaunch is operated by Aervo LLC. These terms are an agreement between you and Aervo LLC (“LockdownLaunch,” “we,” “us”), which runs lockdownlaunch.com (the “Service”). By running a scan, joining the waitlist, or buying a report, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

1. What the Service is

LockdownLaunch runs automated checks against a web app URL you submit. We look only at what is reachable from the public internet: public pages, JavaScript bundles, headers and HTTPS setup, commonly exposed paths, and Supabase/Firebase exposure. Deeper read-only checks run only after you verify ownership. We do not access your source code, servers, or accounts, and we do not scan mobile apps.

The Service is not a penetration test, a code audit, a compliance certification, or a guarantee of security.

2. You must own the app or be authorized to test it

Only submit URLs for apps you own or have written permission to test. When you verify ownership (DNS TXT record, well-known file, or meta tag) or tick the permission box, you confirm that you have this right. You are responsible for any permission you claim.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

scan, probe, or attack apps or systems you don’t own or aren’t authorized to test;
use findings (such as exposed keys or open databases) to access, copy, or harm anyone’s data or accounts;
get around rate limits, ownership verification, or other safeguards;
overload, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service; or
break any law.

We may refuse, limit, or stop service, and keep any evidence, if we believe these terms are being broken.

4. Reports are informational only

Grades, findings, reports, and certificates come from automated checks at a single point in time. They may contain false positives and will not catch every issue. They are for information only and are not professional security, legal, or compliance advice. A “launch-ready” certificate means only that our automated checks found no critical or high issues for that URL when the scan ran. It is not an endorsement or a promise about the app. You remain responsible for your app, your users’ data, and any professional review your situation needs.

5. Payments and refunds

The Launch Report is a one-time payment, currently $49 USD, processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. The price at checkout is the price you pay. We may change prices for future purchases.

Refunds: If your paid scan failed to run or we couldn’t deliver your report, email [email protected] within 14 days of purchase and we will either fix it or refund you in full. We handle other refund requests case by case. Nothing here limits refund rights you have under applicable law.

Other plans (such as Fix-It-For-Me or Watch) are not available yet. They will have their own terms when they launch.

6. No warranty

The Service, reports, and certificates are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that your app is secure, free of vulnerabilities, or compliant with any law or standard, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows:

we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. This includes security breaches of your app, leaked or misused keys, and third-party API or hosting bills, even if we were told such damages were possible; and
our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (which may be $0 if you used only free features).

Some places don’t allow certain of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

8. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold harmless LockdownLaunch from claims, losses, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that come from your misuse of the Service, your breach of these terms, or any scan you requested of an app you weren’t authorized to test.

9. Changes and termination

We may update the Service or these terms. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where reasonable, notify customers by email. Continued use after an update means you accept it. You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access for misuse.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state and federal courts located in the City and County of Honolulu, Hawaii, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
